Two Types of Thoughts
The human brain is somewhat like a computer. It does not create thoughts but processes information. Information and ideas come to the human soul from one of two sources: either the spirit or the flesh. Thus there are only two kinds of thoughts; those whose origins are from the spirit, and those of the flesh.
We have to choose which one of these two kinds of thoughts to focus on and meditate on (Romans 8:5). Thoughts of the spirit come to us from God through His Spirit to our conscience (Romans 8:16; 9:1). Thoughts of the flesh come to us from demonic sources through worldly influences around us.
Let us constantly choose thoughts of life (Deuteronomy 30:19) and ignore those thoughts of pride, lust, condemnation and worry (II Corinthians 10:3-5), bringing our thoughts in line with the thoughts of Yeshua.
Yom Kippur Conference
Thank you for your prayers for our Yom Kippur celebration. It was a significant spiritual breakthrough, combining:
We ended with the last great blast of the shofar, calling for the return of Yeshua, the resurrection of the dead and the victory of the kingdom of God (Leviticus 25:9-10; Isaiah 27:13; Matthew 24:31; I Corinthians 15:52; I Thessalonians 4:16).
Netanyahu UN Speech
Here are a few excerpts from Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the UN this week. Almost alone, the Israeli Prime Minister speaks before the international diplomatic community of biblical values and the evils of militant Islam. He started by refuting the claim that Zionism is without biblical and historical roots:
Yesterday was Yom Kippur. For over three millennia, we have come together on this day of reflection and atonement… However at the end of Yom Kippur, we celebrate… the rebirth of Israel, the heroism of our young men and women who have defended our people with the indomitable courage of Joshua, David, and the Maccabees of old...
Then he rebuked the evils of militant Islam:
Forces of radical Islam… are bent on world conquest. They want to destroy Israel, Europe, America. They want to end the modern world… Their intolerance is directed first at their fellow Muslims, and then to Christians, Jews, and anyone who doesn’t submit to their unforgiving creed. It’s not whether this fanaticism will be defeated. It’s how many lives will be lost before it’s defeated.
For the Ayatollahs of Iran, mutually assured destruction is not a deterrent, it’s an inducement… Ayatollah Rafsanjani said, “The use of even one nuclear bomb inside Israel will destroy everything there, however it would only do partial harm to the Islamic world.”
Netanyahu ended with another appeal to biblical values:
Pray for the international community to wake up to the dangers of militant Islam; and for the Israeli Prime Minister to continue to speak of biblical moral values.
